Resources forthcoming: I plan to make available organizing resources, zines, and political education material attached to each of these campaigns — soon!

Amazonians United

Amazonians United is a movement of workers fighting to end management’s domination in their workplaces. AU organizers build solidarity unions with their coworkers to fight together for the dignified lives we all deserve. With a team of workers and solidarity committee members, I conduct strategic corporate research that responds to research needs identified by workers on the shop floor in North America. We are always grateful for and in need of research assistance. Reach out if you have the capacity and desire to help!

Block the Boat

In 2014 and 2021, I was involved in Block the Boat campaigns in Los Angeles. Block the Boat was a movement composed of community coalitions that came together to block ships docking at US ports owned by the Israel-owned Zim shipping company. We were successful in delaying ships in September 2014 at the Port of Long Beach, and AROC’s coalition in the Bay area blocked a Zim ship successfully sending it back to Israel without ever docking in the Port of Oakland. Although we were not able to pull off a blockade in 2021, I composed a research primer to help organizers track Zim ships. Please feel free to use it in whatever ways might be useful to you. This primer is useful anywhere in the world, but will require some adaptation depending on whether dockworker shifts are made publicly available in your city.

Cops Off Campus Coalition

An abolition network to get cops off campus and cops off the planet. The Cops Off Campus Coalition is a coast to coast “coalition of coalitions,” a network of local, regional, and transnational collectives of students, educators, other workers, and all other community members impacted by police and policing at all levels of education. At the UCs, we have been slowly building a strategy for a mass movement to both build alternatives to and to demand the abolition of the University of California Police Department.

The Marxist Institute for Research
Launched in 2022, the Marxist Institute for Research (MIR) is an initiative to support University of California faculty and graduate students engaged in historical materialist-related research and pedagogy. We organize talks, build a network of scholars, and will be running a yearly summer school at a UC Natural Reserve. Applications for the inaugural summer school are now open and close on Feb 13. All UC graduate students are welcome to apply.

The Abolition Journal Collective
The Abolition Journal Collective has worked for nearly 10 years to produce peer-reviewed journals by and for incarcerated people and beyond. In addition to the central project of publishing abolitionist scholarship, our various working groups have also built political education and skills-building workshops, created practices for communication with comrades on the inside, and worked to build more transformative justice practices and accountability into the collective.

Santa Barbara Tenants Union
SBTU is an all-volunteer, tenant-led Union dedicated to defending tenants against unjust evictions, rent increases, and negligent and abusive landlords. We are currently organizing to build a mass tenants movement in Santa Barbara and to pass rent control legislation.

Santa Barbara Faculty Association and the UC Faculty Organizing Group

We’re trying to organize our shop. It’s hard.
